Transforming Concept into Design — Where Vision Becomes Reality.

YPT Basic Engineering

Building on System Engineering, Basic Engineering transforms the conceptual process into a structured, verifiable design framework. It integrates process, mechanical, electrical, civil, and automation into a unified package — the technical baseline for Detail Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.

From Data to Design — Turning Logic into Layout

Basic Engineering Projects

Multi-discipline packages translating PFDs, balances, and control philosophies into design documents for scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and early vendor engagement — bridging design and execution.

Engineering Begins with Principles

TOP QUALITY

FOR ALL OUR PRODUCTS

GUARANTEED

The YPT Document Management System (DMS) keeps all certification files traceable and audit-ready.

Design Criteria

Formal rules governing decisions across disciplines: process parameters (throughput, density, residence time), mechanical/material requirements, civil & structural loads (seismic/wind/soil), electrical & control standards, and HSE constraints. All criteria are verified within YPT’s QMS for consistency and traceability.

Mapping the Path of Production

Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)

PFDs illustrate all major streams and key control interfaces with tags, capacities, material data, and utility tie-ins. They are cross-checked against balances and controlled under QMS for version integrity.

Every Gram, Every Kilowatt — Accounted For

Mass & Heat Balance

Refined balances quantify compositions, phase fractions, thermal loads; validate recovery & efficiency; and feed pump/heat-exchange sizing, reagent optimization, and utility calculations.

Visualizing the Plant Before It’s Built

General Arrangement Projects (GA)

3D models, elevations, and sections defining spatial configuration, maintenance envelopes, pipe corridors, crane access, and safe operations. GA is reviewed with Construction to pre-empt clashes and optimize sequencing.

Designing Machines to Serve the Process

Mechanical Equipment Projects

Equipment layouts, foundation loads, and preliminary mechanical details. Datasheets define capacity, power, materials, and connections, aligned with YPT’s manufacturing standards for reliability and serviceability.

From Flow to Function — Detailing Control and Safety

Piping & Instrumentation Projects (P&ID)

P&IDs translate process logic into piping sizes/specs, valves, instruments, loops, and interlocks, including utilities and drain/vent systems. Each P&ID is checked and released under QMS with full revision tracking.

Specifying Performance, Not Just Components

Equipment Specifications

Performance-based specs with design codes (EN/ISO/ASME/API), ITPs, vendor data requirements, and interface definitions — forming the core of Procurement bid packages and ensuring seamless integration.
