From Design Reality to Site Reliability.

YPT Construction

At YPT, Construction & Installation is where design becomes reality. It transforms engineered drawings into physical assets — safely, efficiently, and precisely. With over 30 years of EPC experience across mineral-processing plants, YPT provides complete on-site services, from civil foundations to mechanical erection and system handover.

Each project is executed under ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards. Our supervision teams, construction engineers, and QA/QC inspectors ensure every foundation poured, cable laid, and pipe welded meets YPT’s quality expectations.

Construction & Installation is the third pillar of YPT’s integrated EPC system, bridging Engineering and Procurement with Commissioning & Start-Up — turning technical designs into operational plants.

Construction Management & Site Supervision

Planning, coordination, and control of all site activities to ensure safe, on-time, and compliant execution.

Core Responsibilities

  • Construction Execution Plan (CEP):

site layout, mobilization, logistics, workforce organization, multi-discipline coordination.

  • Scheduling & Progress Control:

daily/weekly/monthly monitoring via ERP-linked project controls.

  • Interface Management:

coordination between subcontractors, vendors, and engineering to avoid conflicts.

  • HSE Management: ISO 45001;

toolbox talks, HIRA, JSA, safety audits, and permits-to-work.

  • QA/QC Control:

on-site ITPs, MIRs, and NCRs for full compliance and traceability.

The outcome is efficient coordination, real-time tracking, and safe working conditions.

Strong Foundations for Reliable Operations.

Civil Works & Structural Steel Erection

Civil and structural works establish the physical backbone of the plant for all other disciplines.

Civil Works Scope

  • Earthworks, excavation, grading, and foundation preparation

  • Concrete works for mills, tanks, crushers, thickeners, and buildings

  • Retaining walls, drainage systems, and cable trenches

  • Backfilling, compaction, and access roads

Structural Steel Works

  • Erection of process buildings, pipe racks, platforms, and stair towers

  • Tanks, silos, and large steel assemblies

  • Alignment, bolting, and welding per AWS D1.1 or EN 1090

  • Coatings, galvanizing, and fireproofing

Integration with Engineering

Foundations and structures follow GA and Detail Drawings. Surveying/leveling with total stations and lasers ensure precise alignment.

Safety & Quality

All lifting under YPT Lifting & Rigging Procedures, supported by risk assessments and certified operators.

Every Bolt Counts — Every Rotation Matters

Mechanical Installation

Assembly, alignment, and integration of process equipment to convert structures into functional systems.

Scope Includes

  • Installation of crushers, mills, agitators, filters, tanks, thickeners, pumps

  • Erection of blowers, compressors, rotary machines; conveyor assembly and drive installation

  • Grouting, leveling, and laser alignment for rotating equipment

  • Tank erection, shell welding, hydrostatic testing

  • Valve/flange fit-up and mechanical checks of process lines

Quality & Documentation

Tracked through Installation Check Sheets, Torque Reports, and Alignment Certificates under the Mechanical Completion (MC) framework.

Integration

Tight link with Procurement (deliveries, FAT docs) and Engineering (vendor manuals, installation drawings).

Powering Process. Controlling Precision.

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Installation

Energy and intelligence systems of the plant — power distribution, instruments, automation, and control.

Electrical Installation Scope

  • MV/LV distribution (switchgears, transformers, MCCs)

  • Power/control cabling, cable trays, grounding, lighting

  • Substations, MCC rooms, site power connections

Instrumentation Installation

  • Transmitters, flowmeters, level/pressure sensors

  • Control valves, junction boxes, marshalling cabinets

  • PLC/DCS panels, SCADA, communication networks

Testing & Pre-Commissioning

  • Cable insulation and continuity tests

  • Loop checks and calibration verification

  • Function testing with Commissioning

Documentation

Inspection & Test Reports (ITRs) and Loop Folders, forming part of the commissioning dossier.

Connecting Systems — Ensuring Integrity.

Piping Fabrication & Installation

Piping carries slurries, reagents, water, and gases. Proper fabrication/installation is vital for leak-free, safe operation.

Scope Includes

  • Spool fabrication from isometric drawings and GA layouts

  • Installation of supports, shoes, expansion joints

  • Welding and NDT per ASME B31.1/B31.3 or EN 13480

  • Hydrostatic/pneumatic testing and reinstatement

  • Painting, insulation, and identification tagging

Quality & Traceability

Welders qualified by WPS, PQR, WPQ. Each spool is traceable to material certificates and weld maps via YPT’s Material Tracking System.
