Flowsheet Development Tailored to Metallurgical Test Results and Project Targets

Flowsheet development is the genetic code of the plant. YPT begins by analyzing metallurgical test results and ore characterization;

  • mineralogy & liberation

  • gravity & flotation behavior

  • leaching kinetics

  • settling/filtration data


Aligning them with project capacity, recovery, and ESG targets. Using simulation (e.g., METSIM, HSC or equivalent) and YPT’s empirical database, we design custom circuits — crushing, grinding, classification, leaching/adsorption, solid–liquid separation, and recovery — as an integrated, optimized whole.

Mass, Energy, and Water Balance Calculations

Behind every flowsheet lies quantified design. YPT develops comprehensive mass, energy, and water balances that define all streams, power demands, thermal loads, and water recycling/consumption. These dynamic models anticipate start-up conditions, ore variability, and operational upsets, and become binding inputs for Basic Engineering — fully controlled under the YPT Quality Management System (QMS).

Where Process Defines Design


Equipment Sizing and Specification Based on Process Requirements

Using validated balances and operating know-how, YPT determines preliminary equipment sizes and specifications — tanks, mills, thickeners, filters, columns, electrowinning cells, etc. Duty conditions (throughput, solids %, pH, temperature, residence time), materials of construction, access, and life-cycle considerations are defined to feed Procurement.


Specifications reference EN/ISO/ASTM and incorporate YPT’s manufacturing feedback for reliability and serviceability.
